NEW PROJECT

When I was on vacation in Sisters Oregon last week, I found this new necklace at The Stitchin' Post.  I will add it to my other 1,000 project which I may finish if I live to be 95 and didn't add another thing.  Oh...well.   Check out their website, www.handbehg.com  They have lots of other goodies too!

LAST WEEKS VACATION

Our family took the annual vacation last week to Black Butte in central Oregon...which means I wandered and bought at least five different times in The Stitchin' Post.  The shop is a 3 hour drive for us but I have SACRIFICED many times to take classes and visit the Quilt Show.  Because the Quilt Show is in two weeks the store was LOADED with all the teachers goodies.  I will be returning on July 10th with a friend to see all the quilts hanging in the town.  OH....I met Valori Wells, Jeans daughter....what a sweetie!

FIRST KINDERGARTEN GRADUATE

This is Kailia...my oldest grandchild and she graduated from kindergarten yesterday.  She wanted to be a Mom who worked at Starbucks but now she wants to be a Cowgirl.  She's not keen on scooping horse poop.....Grandpa says she has to learn.
WE LOVE YOU KAIA....good job!!!

A DOGS DAY

It's a cold, gray day, but no rain.....it's just a dogs day.
Here are Maggie (left) English Bulldog and
Daisy (right) French Bulldog.  Yes, they get along pretty well.

HERE'S MY LATEST PROJECT

I have been working on this Market Tote for a couple of weeks.  It's taking me far to long because LIFE happens too....weeding, mowing, vacuuming...you know everyday life stuff.  Anyway, I have paper pieced the little quilt basket pieces because they end up being a 2 1/2" square.  They are so little a CUTE and I wanted to make sure they were very precise.  So far I have made them twice...the first time I forgot to add 1/4" seam allowance to the boarder.  Hope you check out this website....Galloping Pony Studio,  she has books, patterns and a lot more...all WONDERFUL!!!
Leap Year, last night!

Yesterday I rented Leap Year from Red Box...loved it!!  Even saw hubby watching and laughing.
MY VERY FIRST BLOG....6/9/10!!!!!

FARM CHICK SHOW HERE WE COME...
My SWEET SWEET husband flew me to the Farm Chick show last Thursday. I met my BFF Mary Beth and we shopped until our feet HURT!!!

Guess where we landed???? Wyoming? Alaska? Montana? NOPE....Coeur d'Alene Idaho, what
a beautiful city. I ALWAYS have to go to the bathroom first thing off the plane....and look what was above the door, all sorts of dead and stuffed animals....it's a guy thing I'm sure!

I was so busy shopping I forgot to take many pictures, but I loved this assemblage. Dollies are one of my favorite things along with assemblage. This was in Todays Country Store booth. She decided 2 weeks before the show to make these dolls. There were 5 dolls total and sold all but one by 3:00. Check out her blog....todayscountrystore.typepad.com

These BEAUTIFUL hanging fixtures were from the Junkgirls. They make the most amazing things....a little of this and a little of that and PRESTO we have art! Which I could have afforded one...they would look great in my house.

My friends Karen & Eileen were there too....Their web site is Forget me knot dreams.
If I can figure out how to post again tomorrow...I'll do it!
